The journey west was harsh people I knew had passed and the people still alive were sick or pulling the the wagon until their last breath.When we finally got to California it was a ghost town and the people who were left started packing.We went to go to San Francisco because we heard it was a boom town.We built a log cabin because we thought we finally found a home and we even set up a ranch.But there was a stampede that destroyed houses and ended lives,so we moved to Texas and finally settled.
